Training Contracts
One of the great things about a career with Anthony Collins Solicitors
is the potential to progress through the company and to have a positive
impact on the work we do. The firm is large enough to have a diverse client
base, covering a large range of legal issues, but is small enough to be
personable and approachable.
A successful trainee will bring commitment and competency to their role
in the team. We, therefore, seek people who combine a strong academic record
with innovative thinking, not to mention a compassionate and reassuring
approach to clients and an appreciation of their needs and concerns. This
is what you will see in your colleagues when you begin your career with
Anthony Collins Solicitors. Our people and the way they work together is
what our reputation is built upon and the main reason for our ongoing success.
The training contracts we offer allow you to develop the necessary skills and
experience within one choose one of three routes in becoming a qualified
solicitor, these are as follows:
-
Commercial - property, litigation, employment, business and
licensing.
-
Housing & Charities - nationally known department for community
regeneration, local government, charities, housing management, housing
litigation, PFI and best value.
-
Private Client - the distinctive values and principles of the
firm can most obviously be seen as we serve clients in family, childcare,
wills and probate, clinical negligence & personal injury and residential
conveyancing matters.
We seek applications for training contracts from those in the second or penultimate year of their degree course, by 31 July. To assure us of an individual's academic capabilities, candidates should have excellent A level results and should expect to achieve a 2.1 in their degree.
The recruitment procedure will involve attending an assessment centre, as we firmly believe in fitting people to jobs in which they will be able to make best use of their abilities. Our recruitment procedure ensures that successful candidates are more than capable of the challenges ahead.
You will not need to specify on applying which area you are interested
in. Should we take your application forward you will have the opportunity
to learn more about each area and to discuss with our recruitment team where
your particular skills would be placed.
